November 28, 2011 - The FastUnlock Team has released a new unlock and untethered jailbreak iPhone 4 utility, called "FastSn0w", for both iOS 5 and 5.0.1. The FastUnlock Team said their utility is stable and it can perform a untethered jailbreak iPhone 4/3Gs iOS 5.0.1 and unlock iPhone 4/3Gs iOS 5.0.1, it is expected to be able to do remote jailbreaks soon.

According to an iPhoneism report, by installing a server program on any OS such as Linux, OS X or Windows, "FastSn0w" will be able to unlock/jailbreak iPhone 4/3Gs iOS 5.0.1 Apple devices, using a client program, from anywhere in the world.
